He is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 1984, Dr. Martino was awarded the Centennial Medal from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
