Respect by Richard Sennett
RESPECT looks at the pivotal role respect plays in contemporary society. Drawing on his own experience as a left-wing activist and idealist in the US and the UK, Sennett here examines what has gone wrong with the modern world and argues that respectis the glue that keeps society together and a serious factor in social change.
Richard Sennett's previous works include The Fall of Public Man, The Corrosion of Character and Flesh and Stone. He taught for many years at the New York Institute of the Humanities and is now a Professor at the London School of Economics.
