Rhodes and the Dodecanese by Paul Hellander
Includes extensive coverage of the archipelago, from the mountains of Rhodes to the vineyards of Lipsi; details on Rhodes' medieval Old Town quarter; tips on where to hike, scuba dive, windsurf, sail or just flop; accommodation for every wallet size; and practical advice on inter-island ferry and hydrofoil travel.
Paul Hellander is an Australia-based travel writer and photographer specialising in Greece and Cyprus. He has travelled widely through Greece and Cyprus over the years and speaks Greek fluently having taken the unlikely professional career move of acquiring a degree in Ancient, Byzantine and Modern Greek from Birmingham University. He has contributed to many travel publications and has written for publishers such as GEO, the Times, QANTAS and various online publications. His photographs have graced many travel guides as well as a growing stable of clients from whiskey distillers to airlines. He relishes any opportunity to get back to Cyprus - to both side of the political dividing line - and would love nothing more than to see Greek and Turkish Cypriots friends once again.
