Richard Box's Flowers for Embroidery by Richard Box
Richard Box paints directly from nature, taking photographs to act as aide-memoires and then using collage and hand and machine embroidery techniques. Here he invites all embroiderers, including beginners, to create a collection of flower embroideries featuring roses, honeysuckle, poppies, delphiniums, hedgerow flowers and other favourites. The reader is taken through the various techniques step by step, with colour photographs illustrating the different stages.
Richard Box is a professional artist and instructor and the author of Basic Drawing Techniques. Ronald Swanick teaches classes in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. He is the author of Drawing Landscapes. Denis Naylor studied wildlife painting at Swansea Institute and is the author of Drawing Trees. Sally Michelle is a professional artist, a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists, and the author of Animals in Watercolour. Carole Massey is a practicing instructor and exhibiting artist. She is the author of Figures in Watercolour, Flowers in Acrylics, and Water Soluble Pencils.
