Ride from the Heart by Jenny Rolfe
Aimed at addressing the technical goals of dressage, this book presents the experiences the author gained in Portugal, a country with a spiritual history of classical training. It underlines the importance of maintaining a bond of leadership, respect and friendship with our horse and includes important tools for achieving these goals.
'Jenny will teach you to be a subtle and sensitive rider, and help you take a different yet rewarding path with your horse's work in school' Horse Magazine
Jenny Rolfe has spent time in Portugal training with both Antonio Borba Monteira (Chief Instructor of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art) and Classical Mestre Luis Valenca. Since returning to England, Jenny has continued to use the classical principles to explore more lightness and harmony. Exploration of this art has led her to discover the influence of our breathing within riding. She teaches the art of lateral breathing to help the rider to find harmony and balance in body, mind and spirit. Her clients come from the UK, Ireland, USA and Europe and many are professionally involved with horses. Jenny writes regularly for the US magazine Horse of Kings (within their Classical Dressage Journal) and The Horse Quarterly published in South Africa. She also writes for several magazines in the UK under 'Classical Communications'. Jenny is also an equestrian painter and one of her works is exhibited in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
