Valerie Bloom has performed her poetry throughout the world, with many TV and radio appearances. She was awarded an MBE for services to poetry in 2008. Valerie is the author of poetry collections, picture books and two novels for young readers. Her work appears in over 500 anthologies. Valerie’s latest solo collection Stars with Flaming Tails illustrated by Ken Wilson-Max won the 2022 CLiPPA, the UK’s top award for published poetry for children.

Sophie Bass is a London-based Illustrator of mixed British and Trinidadian heritage. Her work is inspired by music, social justice, mythology and symbolism.
