River Thame by Tony Chaplin
The River Thame is a small river running from the foothills of the Chilterns, through Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, on to its confluence with the Thames at Dorchester. This book discusses the river through eyes of some of the great English poets and writers such as Spenser and Defoe. It describes the course of the river from source to finish.
Tony Chaplin has lived in Thame since he was eight years old. He worked for over forty years in the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals. This is his first venture into non-scientific writing.
