Robin Sees a Monster by Barbara A Fanson
It's not easy building a nest with only a beak to carry dry weeds and mud. Robin has to fight the wind while building a nest. Then she has to protect her baby birds and look for food constantly. This photographic book shares the life cycle of four robin eggs. Add two predators and it is an interesting story of survival.
Barbara Fanson is an author, graphic designer, and college professor. This story is based on her grandmother. She has written over 30 books, mostly computer and design books, but this is her first historical fiction book. Barbara grew up in Smithville, about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from where her Grandfather was killed in a car accident-and where her father was born. She lives near Hamilton with her husband, daughter, and a dashing black cat. Other books by Barbara Fanson: Producing a First-Class Newsletter, published by Self-Counsel Press.
