Rodin by Catherine Lampert

Traces the development of the artistic techniques and subjects of Auguste Rodin and examines the cross-fertilization between his drawing and sculpture.

Catherine Lampert is a curator and art historian who works independently. She has curated shows at the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, and the Whitechapel Gallery, where she served as director from 1988 until 2001. Auguste Rodin, Honoré Daumier, Frank Auerbach, Lucian Freud, Peter Doig, and Michael Andrews are among the artists whose work has been shown in these shows. She's also worked on exhibitions for European institutions, and she co-curated Bare Life, a show of postwar British figurative painting at Münster's LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur, in 2014. Francis Alys: The Prophet and the Fly and Euan Uglow: The Complete Paintings are two of her books.
