Lynne Pearce is a senior lecturer in English at Lancaster University, and the author of numerous critically acclaimed studies on literature, including Romance Revisited (co-edited with Jackie Stacey). Gina Wisker is a principal lecturer in English and Womens Studies at Anglia University and has written extensively on popular culture and women's fiction. She is the editor of It's My Party: Reading Twentieth-century Women's Writing, also published by Pluto Press.
