Ronja, the fearless daughter of a robber chieftain, loves nothing more than roaming the deep, mysterious forest, though she must always beware of the grey dwarves and wild harpies that lurk within. When she unexpectedly befriends Birk, the son of her father's greatest enemy, chaos erupts between their feuding families. Forced apart, Ronja and Birk make a drastic choice: to run away together. Suddenly they are fending for themselves in the woods, but how will they survive when winter comes? As winter draws near, the two children must learn to survive-and hope that their fractured families will one day accept their friendship so they can return home. This timeless classic from bestselling and beloved author Astrid Lindgren has recently been brought to life in a brand-new CBBC TV series, animated by the acclaimed Studio Ghibli and directed by renowned animator Katsuya Kondo.
