Ronnie Delany lived in Carrickmines in Dublin. He was married with four children and 15 grandchildren. He established his own marketing consultancy firm in 1988 and held multiple honorary memberships including the Freedom of Dublin, and life membership of the Royal Dublin Society. He was also president of the Irish Olympians Association. Ronnie died in March 2026.
