Poet, novelist and scriptwriter Roger Harvey was born in 1953 and lives in Newcastle, England. He is best known for his historical novels THE SILVER SPITFIRE (also a 13-part radio serial and audio book) and the more recent MAIDEN VOYAGE, set around the building of the gigantic ocean a liner 'Mauretania'. His other novels include the romantic childrens' adventure ALBATROSS BAY and the prequels to ROOM FOR US: ROOM FOR LOVE and ROOM FOR ME, all with nostalgic 'retro-chic' settings in the romantic Northumbrian countryside. His plays MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! and GUINEVERE-JENNIFER have been toured and GUINEVERE-JENNIFER was made into a film. He is one of Britain's most published poets and contributes stories, features and articles to many magazines. Roger's other interests include music and classic cars.
