A Rose for Reuben by Robert Rietti
Recounts the stories of individual survivors of the Holocaust, whether from Jewish or other persecuted communities. These survivors are united by their unwillingness to succumb to despair, and by their inner belief that the broken threads of their lives can somehow be rejoined.
ROBERT RIETTI was born in London in 1923 to an ancient Italian Jewish family. He is an eminent actor (featuring in such recent films as 'Hannibal' and 'Hilary and Jackie'), and is particularly well-known for his dubbing/voicing work, for which he is BAFTA-nominated. Robert has also broadcast on radio over 6,000 times since the age of ten. The Italian government has made him Officer Knight of Merit for his services to the Italian theatre and films. He has also written and translated plays for radio, television and the theatre and acted in them.
