The charming story of a large red squirrel befriended by King Henry VIII
'Toytown to Buckingham Palace' is how John Stirling depicts his career so far. Trained at The Italia Conti Stage school and undertaking his first West End part as Enid Blyton's most loved character, Noddy, he has spent his life in the entertainment industry and has been honoured with a private audience with her Majesty the Queen in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. His versatility and diversity have seen him engage from child actor to director, writer and producer, winning awards along the way. John's previous works include, 'Once in a Lifetime', 'Gert and Daisy', 'Cheers Mrs Worthington', 'Marked for life', 'Not one Bray goes by', 'Overture and Beginners', ' Calendar Boy',' The Really Useful Donkey Company' and 'Worthington and Witherspoon'. With two autobiographies, 'Never Work with Children or Animals' and 'Toytown to Buckingham Palace' with his favourite, 'Dot Cotton's Masterclass on Donizetti', performed by the full Royal Opera House orchestra and singers and of course, Dot Cotton herself, June Brown MBE. John's latest work for the theatre is, 'Born in a Hamper' and for film, 'Thadeus' and with a successful career in After Dinner speaking, life is very busy.
