Royalty in "Vogue", 1909-89 by Josephine Ross

This collection of photographs, most of which have not been seen since their first publication in "Vogue", looks at how the reporting of royalty has changed over the years. Taken from over 70 years of "Vogue", the book also examines the relationship between royalty and fashion. It looks at royal style, from Queen Mary's toques to the Duchess of York's hair bows. The contributors include photographers, writers and artists such as Cecil Beaton, Norman Parkinson, Lord Snowdon, John Ward, Felix Topolski and Stephen Leacock. The author was a finalist in the "Vogue" talent contest for writers and has written two other royal biographies - "Vogue Bedside Book" and "Beaton in Vogue".
