Signs of a Heartbreak is written by Sona Charaipotra. She has worked as a celebrity reporter for People and TeenPeople, as well as contributing to publications such as the New York Times and TeenVogue. She uses her master's degree in screenwriting from NYU and her MFA in creative writing from the New School to poke plot holes in her favorite adolescent shows for employment. She is the cofounder of CAKE Literary, a boutique book packaging firm with a distinctly diverse bent, and the coauthor of the YA dance dramas Small Beautiful Things and Shiny Broken Pieces, as well as the psychological thriller The Rumor Game (with Dhonielle Clayton). She is a proud member of the We Need Diverse Books team.
