The Ryder Cup by Nick Callow

Every two years, the Ryder Cup pits teams from Europe and the US against each other--and with national pride at stake, the best players from both sides of the Atlantic fight for a place on their respective teams. This beautifully illustrated and updated book tells the story of golf's most unique tournament, from its humble beginnings in 1927 to today.
Hawkes, Chris: - Chris Hawkes grew up playing cricket and rugby, going on to play professional cricket for Leicestershire CCC, as well as sampling club cricket around the world, before moving into publishing. He was editor of the bestselling Cricketer's Who's Who annual for a number of years and has gone on to write a number of books, including, for Carlton, The Encyclopedia of Golf, 1001 Sporting Records and both World Cricket Records and World Rugby Records. Having previously lived in the Italian Alps, Chris now lives in France, where he enjoys wintering in the Alps and Pyrenees.
