The Sad Skeleton by Kay Brophy
The Sad Skeleton struggles to make friends, leaving him sad and lonely. Talking about his feelings with Dave the Bat, he understands his emotions and slowly begins to relate to others around him, his sadness turning into acceptance and happiness.
Author Kay Brophy has been working in schools for 20 years with children, families and teachers as a creative therapist and family practitioner. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association for Family Therapy (AFT). She devised the Finding Your Way series through her direct work with children and the stories they tell, known as narrative therapy. Kay's expertise is in children's mental health and finding creative ways of educating children of all ages about their core emotions, so that they can learn to recognise, and eventually manage, their emotions and behaviour more effectively, and recognise it in others.
