Saddled With Darwin: A Journey Through South America by Toby Green
165 years after Charles Darwin embarked on the journey which was to produce the most radical theory of modern times, Toby Green retraced the journey on horseback. With no logistical support, his journey took a year and crossed six South American countries. This is his account of the trip.
Toby Green graduated from Cambridge University in 1996, having obtained a First in Philosophy. He is the author of two previous books, Saddled with Darwin and Meeting the Invisible Man, and his work has been translated into six languages. He has travelled widely in Africa and Latin America, and now lives with his wife and their baby daughter in the West Country.
