Kellie Str #248;m was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1967. He was raised in the woods of Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. He made his first attempt at creating a picture book before he could write, drawing a story on a large roll of newsprint, with spaces for text. Unfortunately by the time he learned to write, he could no longer remember what the story was about! As an adult he managed to avoid real work and lived by drawing illustrations for newspapers and magazines in Ireland, Denmark and the UK. Despite diversions into the fields of film and animation design, he found his way back home to picture books, and this time he has succeeded in finishing one. At last!
