mad-cap adventure … An exciting and funny read, with lots of action and elements of fantasy and farceThe slapstick comedy supports serious themes of cruelty to animals and bullying. The final resolution of the story celebrates that everyone can have a part to play in making the world a better place. Alan Nolan illustrates his own story with energy and wit. In your eagerness to find out what happens to Sam and the animals, don’t be tempted to skip the comic panels throughout the book – they are fun and tell an important part of the story
