Sardines by Stephen Knight
Stephen Knight’s poems are surreal, magical and fantastically rich. His quirky look at childhood, including a poem about waiting in a cupboard for 30 years while playing a game of sardines, is totally engaging. This is his first collection for teenagers.
Stephen Knight was born in Swansea and a lot of his poems contain references to Wales. He has had 3 prize-winning books of poetry and one novel for adults published. He teaches creative writing for the City Lit, on the University of Glamorgan's MPhil and Goldsmith College's MA, as well as for the Birkbeck College and the Arvon Foundation.
