Ali, Nia: - Nia Ali is an author, English teacher, and a proud mother of two, amazing children. She continues to write to expand her classroom, teaching students academia and valuable lessons. As she homeschooled her daughter, she noticed some minor reading deficiencies. She searched for material to support her goals, but couldn't find any material to provide practice with word blends and families, sound and word repetition, delightful stories that positively represented the African-American community, or any material that taught valuable, traditional lessons. Therefore, she created the very material that she needed with the charming leads, Sasha and Tasha. Nia Ali has committed nearly 20 years to teaching students that have been under-represented and under-educated. She has received several teaching awards and holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership. She is active with many community organizations and strives to be an agent of change. Nia Ali takes pleasure in speaking engagements to empower individuals to recognize their gifts and fulfill their purpose.
