A Satchel Full Of School Stories by Pat Thomson
A collection of school stories which include an uproarious class trip to a safari park, a dog who becomes a teacher, and a strange new classmate who can see into the future. Dick King-Smith, Joan Aiken and Robin Klein are among the authors.
As well as being an author and anthologist, Pat Thomson works with teachers as a lecturer and librarian - work which involves a constant search for short stories which have both quality and child-appeal. She is the compiler of many previous, successful age-ranged and subject-ranged anthologies for the Doubleday/Corgi list. She is also an Honorary Vice-President of the Federation of Children's Book Groups. She is married with two grown-up children. uthor lives- Northamptonshire
