Scarecrows by Felder Rushing
No one understands fun like Felder Rushing. Invite him into your garden, and that boring old bird-scarer becomes a figure of mystery and power, a folk art masterpiece, and the best time you'll have all summer.-- Thomas Christopher, Gardening columnist for House & Garden
Felder Rushing is one of America's horticultural gems. His book, Scarecrows, is a wonderful blend of fact, folklore, and fun.
-- Doug Jimerson, Editor-in-Chief of garden.com
In usual Felder style, this new book is filled with imagination, is fun, well researched, full of ideas, and genuinely useful. This is a must for my bookshelf.
-- Holly H. Shimizu, Managing Director
Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens
Felder Rushing has produced numerous gardening and landscaping books and magazine articles, publishes regularly to garden.com, and is a frequent lecturer at historical and horticultural groups across the country, in addition to Scarecrows. In Missouri, Tennessee, and Louisiana, he hosts a radio show. Felder also wrote the books Passalong Plants and Gardening Southern Way. Felder, his wife Terryl, and their daughter live in a Mississippi cottage. His garden is full of wildflowers and creatures, as well as a waterfall and a variety of yard art, including scarecrows, of course.
