The Scent of Eucalyptus by Barbara Hanrahan
Mingling fact and fantasy, innocent lyricism and harsh realism, this is a rich portrait of a child's world set in an ordinary suburban house in an Australian city. The author has also written "Sea-Green", "The Albatross", "Kewpie Doll" and "Annie Magdalene".
Born in Adelaide in 1939, Barbara Hanrahan was a celebrated artist, printmaker and writer.
