Now that the past has been changed, with Kayla being erased from it, the future is already changing as well. The Council is hoping for help from the Leaders of the four highest people with abilities to help them go back and fix what someone has done. They can't ask their own person for help, because they find out she is the one that went back and erased Kayla. Her name is Alexis and she is gone.

Now that Ian has some knowledge of his family history and how it connects to the Time Keeper, he finds out that his parents were sending him away to a special school for children like him. Children with special gifts, and his teacher Jax was there to take him on his journey to his new school. Jax is also there to protect Ian, as he knows Mason will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Time Keeper. The more Ian learns about his family's past, the more shocking things become.

Before they can even leave Ian's apartment, he is surprised by another gifted child, Kenzie. Headed to Chicago, Mason's men find Ian and Jax, and while trying to hide, someone takes over Ian's mind and body. They make a quick stop in Chicago to switch trains and to pick up another student, Brayden. Once they have Brayden, things really begin to heat up.
