Scotland the Worst by Charles Maciejewski
There are countless guidebooks celebrating all that Scotland has to offer; the rolling hills, the hearty food, and the rich culture. This witty satire serves as the anti-guidebook, drawing on the best of the worst reviews from those who visited the country between the 17th and 19th centuries. Take a town-by-town tour through Scotland, enjoying the very worst that it has to offer.
Born in the Lowlands over 60 years ago, since leaving school, Charlie Maciejewski has been a fish filleter, junior newspaper reporter, military policeman, and Scottish policeman; retiring from the police he worked in the Middle East, and has worked as a white van man for a well known charity. In his retirement he is making use of his time with his wife tovisit much of Scotland, with many more places to visit. He is a keen walker and photographer. He is currently resident in the Highlands where he has lived for over fifty years. He has had two short stories (horror) published in anthologies.
