Sea Change by Pat Nolan
The 1940s saw a low ebb in the fishing industry in Ireland, so the Irish Sea Fisheries Association and An Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) created initiatives to help benefit fishermen. In 1949 the BIM 50-footer was born. Sea Change is a heartfelt tribute to the BIM 50-footers, and to those who worked and lived through such a major change.
Pat Nolan is from Baltimore, Co. Cork. A science graduate, he worked in Nigeria for many years before returning to Ireland and settling in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim. This is his fourth book.
