Seasons of Landscape by Peter Watson
This stunning book, from UK author Peter Watson, is full of wonderful, inspirational photographs. In this wonderful collection of inspirational photographs, Peter Watson demonstrates how to photograph the seasonal aspects of a variety of landscapes throughout the year, with each month featured in an individual chapter. The whole of the UK and parts of Europe and America are covered, so the book has international appeal and named locations accompany each image, so the reader can visit and photograph the same places and compare results with the pictures in the book. The pros and cons of film versus digital photography are discussed and reviews of cameras and equipment most suitable for landscape photography are included. Various techniques are described throughout and illustrated by accompanying photographs. Caption information includes technical details of the camera, exposure, lens, shutter speed and filters used in the making of each image.
Peter is a contributing photographer with Images Colour Library and his work appears in books, magazines, travel guides and calendars, among many other publications. He has written four other books, two for GMC, including Light in the Landscape - a Photographer's Year (9781861084323); and two for Photographers' Institute Press: Capturing the Light (9781861086204) and Reading the Landscape. He lives in Merseyside.
