Since that day the US military has endeavored to reverse engineer the ship's alien technology through top-secret research known only as the Rho Project. Now, sixty years after the crash, the government is prepared tell all.

Richard Phillips was born in the town of Roswell in the state of New Mexico. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He spent nearly a decade in the US Army, where he worked on initiatives such as military simulation software development. He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School with a master's degree in physics and finished his thesis at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He then worked as a research officer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before returning to the army to complete his service.

His military and technological backgrounds inspired him to write dramatic science fiction stories with a futuristic twist. He now lives in Phoenix with his wife.
