Katherine Renpenning , MScN, is a nursing consultant whose career has primarily focused on the utility of self-care deficit nursing theory in improving nursing practice and nursing education. Susan G. Taylor, PhD, RN, FAAN, is Professor Emerita, Sinclair School of Nursing at University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Taylor has presented nationally and internationally on Orem's Self Care Theory. She is the recipient of many awards, including Alumnae of the Year from Alverno College, Missouri Tribute to Nurses Nurse Educator, Kemper Fellow for Teaching Excellence, and the MO Alumni Association Faculty Award.
