Roisin Meaney was born in the Irish town of Listowel in the county of Kerry. She's lived in the United States, Canada, Africa, and Europe, among other places. Roisin won the Tivoli Write a Bestseller competition in 2002 with The Daisy Picker, her first novel, which was followed by Putting Out Stars. Roisin is based in Limerick at the moment. Her seventh book is Life Drawing for Beginners.
