From the author of Meet Me at Mike's comes Sew La Tea Do, a gorgeous book for beginner sewers and crafters. Pip Lincolne shows you how to make 24 beautiful things for yourself, your home and your family. Each project is carefully designed for beginner sewers, with an easy-to-use pattern and a list of all of the materials you will need. Pip also takes you through a range of simple sewing techniques and stitches, and there are heaps of suggestions for variations so you can experiment with new ideas once you've got your head around the basics. If you've ever wanted to try making your own clothes and accessories or are looking for some new sewing projects, Sew La Tea Do will encourage and inspire you to create beautiful pieces that you can wear, use and love.
Pip Lincolne grew up in a DIY family. Her dad sewed her lovely dresses; her mum made her orange sorbet; her brother fashioned little houses for her dolls; her sister drew and her nanna knitted, sewed, baked ... you name it! Raised on such handmade fare, there was never any doubt that a crafty life lay ahead. Pip lives above her popular craft store Meet Me at Mikes, in Melbourne's Fitzroy, with her lovely family. She runs Brown Owls - a new-fangled craft club for crafters of all ages and makes things every single day. Her first book, Meet Me at Mike's, was published in 2009.
