Shadows from the Pale by John Minihan
For 25 years, Minihan has been photographing his home town of Athy, County Kildare, and its people. At the centre of the book is the "Wake of Katy Tyrrell" which Minihan photographed for two nights and three days. These images, exhibited throughout the world, form the core of his study.Eugene McCabe was born in Glasgow in 1930. His work includes Heritage and Other Stories and Victims, a short novel which won the Holtby Award from the Royal Society of Literature (1976).
