Nidhi Chanani grew up in Southern California after being born in Kolkata, India. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in literature. She does pictures that depict love in everyday situations. For her art, she was named a Champion of Change by the White House in 2012. Her art has been shown in shops along the West Coast, and she has collaborated with firms such as Disney and Hasbro.
Nidhi, her husband, daughter, and two cats live in the San Francisco Bay region. Her debut graphic novel is Pashmina.
