She Could Fly by Christopher Cantwell

Over the course of 51 days in Chicago, an unknown woman appears publicly 11 times, flying at speeds of 120 miles per hour and at heights reaching 2,000 feet. Then she suddenly dies in a fiery explosion mid-air. No one knows who she was, how she flew, or why. A disturbed 15-year-old girl named Luna becomes obsessed with learning everything about her, even as rumours and conspiracy theories roil. As Luna comes closer to the truth she hopes that cracking the secrets of the Flying Woman's inner life will somehow lead to liberation from her own troubled mind.

Cantwell was born in the city of Chicago in the state of Illinois. The family relocated to Dallas, Texas in the 1980s. As an undergraduate, Cantwell enrolled in the University of Southern California's screenwriting department. In August of 2010, he began writing with Chris Rogers, and the two collaborated on the film Halt and Catch Fire. He is one of the creators of the television series Halt and Catch Fire, which he co-created with another person. The Parts You Lose, directed by Cantwell, will be released later this year.
