SILENT CRIMES a totally captivating crime mystery by Michael Hambling

Michael Hambling is based in the West of England, and his novels are set there as well. The Isle of Purbeck, a gorgeous seaside region, is the setting for the first two novels in the series. Nonetheless, scenes set in other parts of the central south of England are included, as well as scenes set in the remainder of Dorset county. He writes because he imagines scenes, characters, hypothetical conversations, and strange circumstances all the time in his thoughts. When he was a child, he has always done so.

It's a lot of fun to use the English language's richness to put these things into words. Perhaps by the time he's finished editing a passage for the hundredth time, it's starting to lose some of its luster for him, but he believes in reshaping and polishing it until it's as excellent as it can be. It therefore becomes something in which he can legitimately take pride. In his novels, he tries to include multiple plot layers.
