She worked as a journalist in Corsica, Spain, and Italy before returning to the United Kingdom. She now resides in Surrey with her husband and two teenagers, where she works as a full-time fiction writer. She can be seen in her garden or walking her lab/giant schnauzer in the Surrey Hills when she isn't writing.
