Silver by Andrew Motion
Think of the fortune waiting for you… July, 1802. Young Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver’s daughter, Natty, set off in the footsteps of their fathers. Like Stevenson, Motion has achieved that very difficult thing: a children's novel that works even better for adultsLook to your laurels, Rowling -- John Sutherland * The Times *
