Silver Melody by Marisa Noelle

In a world where genetic enhancements are normal, fourteen-year-old Silver Melody watches a nanite forced on her best friend...and then she dies in her arms.

Grief-stricken, furious, and looking for someone to blame, Silver leans into Matt Lawson, her other best friend with increased intelligence, but is unable to let things go. Giving in to her inner violence, Silver lashes out at her scientist parents who created the pills, the parents of her dead best friend, and even threatens to expose the president's nefarious plans for a global genetics enhancement program.

But people are always watching. Her parents aren't who she thinks they are. And Silver has just put herself in the sights of the ruthless president.

If she wants to survive to see high school, she's going to have to learn to toe the line...
