Nansubuga was born in the United States to Ugandan parents and works in international development in East and Southern Africa. Her debut picture book ‘Sleep Well, Siba and Saba’ was voted a Kirkus Best Picture Book of the Year. Sandra was born in France and now lives in Australia. She attended art classes at Emily Carr University in Vancouver before embarking on her career as a children’s illustrator. She has been nominated for a Kate Greenaway Medal.
