Janet Walton is the mother of the world’s first all-female sextuplets. With her husband Graham, she had been trying to have children for a number of years when she finally fell pregnant after her thirteenth fertility treatment. She gave birth on 18 November 1983.
Janet still lives in Wallasey, Liverpool, and is glad that at least one daughter – Hannah – still lives at home. She was the administrator of The Newborn Appeal at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust for over 20 years.
