J. J. Murhall was born in London, where she now lives and works, having travelled for a period after art school. She performs regularly in schools and has been recognized as an official ambassador for the 'Reading is Fundamental' programme. In addition to numerous books for children, she has written an original TV script for CITV's forthcoming series, 'Eddie and the Bear' based on the characters by Jez Alborough.
