Robert Gunn is a lecturer in social policy and social work at the University of York in the UK. He is a former probation officer and qualified social worker and was closely associated with third sector organisations in a community development role. Christopher Durkin is associate director of the Northampton Institute of Urban Affairs based at the University of Northampton. He is a registered social worker and has worked for the NSPCC and before that for the probation service. His interests in social enterprises are linked to community development and stakeholder engagement.
