Social Stratification In The United States by Stephen J Rose

A long awaited update to a classic book and poster set, providing a visual representation of America's economic divide. Using new data from the 2005 Current Population Survey of the US Census, the poster depicts colour-coded figures that allow comparison of social groups at a glance and understanding of the relation of income distribution to race, sex, education and occupation. A companion booklet includes charts, graphs and explanations.
Stephen J. Rose is a senior economics fellow at Third Way: A Strategy Center for Progressives. He previously served in a number of research and policy positions at the Department of Labor, the National Commission for Employment Policy, the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, and the Educational Testing Service. He lives in Washington, D.C.
