The inclusion of learning objectives and practice tests in each chapter are good pedagogical devices. STUDY & REVIEW

I am impressed with study and review sections. They should be very helpful to those students who will use them, and having them integral to the text itself should encourage use.

Thomas Francis Tom Sullivan was born in County Kerry, Ireland in 1893.He was a young volunteer in the army of brave Irish patriots who fought the final successful campaign know as The Cause to eventually free Ireland from the British occupiers in 1922.Tom emigrated to America before our entry into World War I. He served with distinction as an infantryman in Pershing's victorious Army. Tom fought for The Cause before and after his US Army service. Eventually he had a 33 year career policeman in the city of Springfield Massachusetts and became one of the top detectives in the city.He traveled back and forth to Ireland with regularity all of his life. His passion was The Cause. A truly noble cause he was part of all of his life. His goal was to ensure future generations of Irish people, and their cousins and descendants spread to the four corners of the globe, would remember the struggle and sacrifices made for Irish independence and freedom. This tireless effort over several decades became his life's work and culminated with his manuscript entitled the Forgotten Facts of Irish History. This has been published decades after his passing from this life.
