Although some of these stories have been published in bridge magazines around the world, none of them have previously appeared in book form.

DAVID BIRD (Southampton, United Kingdom) is the most prolific bridge writer in the world. He has over 135 books to his credit and has won the American Bridge Teachers' Association Book of the Year award six times. David's essays appear in journals all around the world, including the ACBL Bridge Bulletin, BRIDGE Magazine, English Bridge, Australian Bridge, and others. He is married and has two grandchildren as well as a daughter and a son.
