Someone Who Beckons by Timothy Dudley-Smith
These literary extracts - from authors such as C.S. Lewis, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, T.S. Eliot, Francis Schaeffer, Karen Blixen, Joy Davidman and John Stott - are put side-by-side with Bible passages to show God's world from a new perspective, and to provide stimulating reading. The author's own prayers acknowledge what it means to know God and to talk with him in the course of daily living. There is a total of 60 readings, literary extracts and prayers. This updated text includes Bible verses from the "New International Version".
